The Jungheinrich WMS sets the beat in your digitalised and connected warehouse. This reliable, industry agnostic, software manages, controls and optimises your warehouse, ensuring your processes remain efficient and straightforward. Reliability is one of the determining criteria. The Jungheinrich WMS is a mature platform that is constantly being refined, is always forwards-compatible and grows steadily along with your market requirements. Because it is modular, it can be perfectly customised and therefore adapts flexibly to your future changes. Just as the conductor ensures everyone plays perfectly together at all times in an orchestra. More than 150 companies from numerous different industries around the world already benefit from the efficient warehouse processes they achieve using the Jungheinrich WMS. To launch easily into digital warehouse management, for small and medium-sized warehouses, we also offer the Jungheinrich WMS Series 2 with standardised processes that have been proven in practical application.
The warehouse management system Jungheinrich WMS controls the location, quantity and quality of stored goods. The Jungheinrich WMS effortlessly oversees the entire process. All intralogistics processes from goods receipt to warehousing activities and loading are mapped and planned more efficiently and thus more cost-effectively.
From ‘goods in’ to ‘goods out’, the Jungheinrich WMS integrated management processes play a key role within the framework of the warehouse. The Jungheinrich Warehouse Management System ensures that processes are efficient and simple in the long term — and have been consistently adapted to the individual needs of the customer.
Goods in a warehouse includes processes such as collection, deconsolidation, quality inspection and actual storage. Maintaining perfect interaction within the framework of the warehouse when collecting goods not only involves the Jungheinrich WMS, but also the necessary hardware components such as handheld scanners, printers, radio terminals or mobile workplaces.
On collection, the delivered items and load aids are recorded and the data is transferred to the stock management system of the Jungheinrich WMS. There are two options for this: Either the goods are recorded on the move and a label is created, or the necessary information is simply transferred for pre-marked goods.
During deconsolidation, the entire delivery is structured in such a way that it forms individual storage units for the various storage zones or warehouse tasks. This makes subsequent storage easier and more efficient. The Jungheinrich WMS maintains an overview at all times.
When determining a random sample, appropriate test quantities can be defined in the Jungheinrich WMS for a quality inspection. Also, quarantine times for items can be easily managed. These periods are stored in the corresponding master data and can be calculated and controlled automatically.
Once the stock has been collected, the goods are stored. The Jungheinrich WMS uses its storage location search to find the optimal location for each item. This search takes into account, for example, your individual stacking and retrieval strategies, the holding time and classification as well as physical attributes.
With the Jungheinrich WMS, all components of the warehouse are networked and centrally coordinated, from the racks to the trucks to completely automated systems and connected scales, winders or data radio terminals. As a general contractor, Jungheinrich offers a complete solution including the seamless integration of coordinated functions.
During a stock transfer, goods are transported from their original location to a destination, with or without load aids. The Jungheinrich WMS receives all data and manages the orders. All of this can be done autonomously in automated warehouses using Jungheinrich Automated Guided Vehicles.
The Jungheinrich WMS automatically coordinates replenishment. During this process, an item is transferred from the reserve area to an order-picking area. If the picking station is empty or falls below a predefined minimum quantity, the replenishment from the reserve area is filled automatically.
The warehouse interior may need to be reorganised as a result of changes in the goods range, seasonal changes or campaigns. After recording all the data, the Jungheinrich WMS intelligently allocates the optimum location for the goods. With the help of the Jungheinrich WMS, a reorganisation of items can also be carried out automatically using a schedule controller in off-peak periods.
The inventory is one of the most important processes in every warehouse. It is used to check stock and make corrections if necessary. The Jungheinrich WMS offers a wide variety of inventory types. For example permanent inventory provides maximum inventory accuracy at all times. Printed inventory lists can be eliminated since the radio data terminal acts as the output medium.
The goods out area in the warehouse includes order picking, retrieval, consolidation, packaging and loading. The Jungheinrich WMS offers complete orchestration of all activities and, based on the respective warehouse facility, the “conductor” configures the perfect workflow.
Order picking is the core process of every logistics system. The required items are transported from the place of origin to the goods issue with the help of order picking strategies. These are optimised for each customer order. Based on the configuration of the warehouse, the Jungheinrich WMS guarantees the perfect combination of functions.
The Jungheinrich WMS also maintains an overview of the consolidation process at all times. After removal, items from different warehouse areas are brought together at the consolidation area for the respective customer order. Subsequent processes, such as packaging or loading, can be carried out more quickly after the consolidation has been optimised by the Jungheinrich WMS.
During packaging, the goods are aggregated in packages ready for dispatch to the customer. The Jungheinrich WMS calculates the optimum packaging for each customer order. By connecting networked printers, all documents, such as the delivery note, the bill of materials, the package document or the shipping label, can be printed on site and in real time.
After packaging, the pallets are supplied to goods issue — via a route optimised by the Jungheinrich WMS. The individual shipments are shown on radio data terminals, for example, and finally scanned on the ramp. The goods leave the warehouse with the dispatch documents created under the direction of the Jungheinrich WMS.
